we need to know what the actual numbers are. And while there are lots of assumptions, I don't have much confidence in any of them. The people throwing numbers around also threw out assumptions on TX and OU getting out of the GOR and what it would cost. Those turtles have subsequently gone right back in their shells.

Obviously, ESPN crunched the numbers on what they currently pay for TX and OU and decided it was more profitable to have them in the SEC. But what will the SEC payout actually be? I don't think we know that. And I don't think we know what the ACC will make when the ACCN income stabilizes nor do we know what the market value of the ACC will be at the next "look-in". SEC and B1G payouts will influence that.

If the difference is $30+ million, that won't be sustainable. But $10 million might be. There is a point of diminishing returns in what that income will buy in terms of football program quality. The impact of the disparity is likely greater on non-revenue sports.
